Forehead Lifts (surgery of the forehead) and Brow Lifts:

A forehead lift tightens the loose skin and can remove some of the excess forehead wrinkles and eyelid droop, often referred to as hooding. When a surgeon tightens the loose skin it removes the excess, modifying the forehead wrinkles and dropping brows. The procedure is called a forehead lift or brow lift. If necessary, Dr. Rodgers will remove part of the muscle which causes the furrows or creases between the brows, resulting in a smoother brow and more youthful expression. To see what a forehead lift can do for your face, put your hands above your brows and outside the edges of your eyes and gently raise the skin upward. Forehead lifts are an option if you have a sagging brow or deep furrows between your eyes. Dr. Rodgers performs this surgical procedure utilizing an endoscopic and laser technique whereby several small incisions are placed behind the hairline minimizing the incision and reducing the visibility of scaring. Because he performs the surgery endoscopically utilizing a minimally invasive technique, the recovery period for this procedure is reduced as a result of less swelling and braising.

To determine if a patient is a good candidate for an endoscopic brow lift, Dr. Rodgers will recommend a consultation utilizing computerized imagers and a complete facial analysis. Successful facial plastic surgery is the result of a good rapport between the patient and the surgeon. Trust, based on realistic expectations in exacting medical expertise, develops in the consulting stages before surgery. Dr. Rodgers can answer questions related to specific needs.
